A Bit About Me
I’m Ali Serbest. 16 years old, living in Taivalkoski, one of the northernmost towns in Finland.
I’ve been an athlete since I could walk. 5+ years of competitive basketball, football, long-distance cycling. Reached the NBA Jr. Europe tryouts. Training isn’t a hobby for me, it’s actually who I am.
That same urge pushed me into entrepreneurship. I ran projects and networks. Most of my ideas fail. The ones that don’t, big win.
From the moment I discovered EYP, it hit me hard. One session in Kokkola, kilometres away from home, was enough to change how I see myself and what I want to do.
That fire didn’t disappear with this election. I wont be stepping back after elections. I’m staying involved. As a volunteer, I want to keep working to make sure the North, small towns, and young people with immigrant backgrounds feel that EYP is also for them.
Change doesn’t only happen at the Board table. It happens through consistent work, cooperation, and showing up again and again. I’m ready to do exactly that.

20+ medals, 3 trophies in basketball & football · Reached NBA Jr. Europe tryouts · Met Brian Shaw
Pandemic lockdown · Built Pixel Network from zero · Grew it to Top 30 most active gaming communities in Türkiye · Taught myself English · Paused Pixel Network project for finances, tried to reboot stronger, but never gained old hype.
Landed in Finland. First stop Orivesi. One suitcase, zero Finnish, million-volt dreams.
Restarted Pixel Network project. Development stopped soon. Some projects don’t end. They just wait.
Travelled kilometres to south for my first EYP session in Kokkola. It was only 3 days, but it fliped my life.
